This One Statement From Pelosi About Jan 6th Will Come Back to Haunt Her if There’s a “Commission”

Pelosi has really stepped in it with a comment she made a while back – and if she gets her Jan 6th “commission,” it could come back to bite her.

She made a crucial error by issuing a statement against Trump’s claim that she and other congressional leaders denied his request to have 10,000 National Guard troops at the Capitol on January 6th.

Pelosi is flat out denying that this request ever happened, saying that Trump’s claims are “made up.”

No. Trump didn’t make that up. He has no reason to, and something like that from a US President can be traced, no matter how the Deep State tries to cover themselves.

Here’s what the Washington Examiner posted on Trump’s request:

YES, TRUMP DID CALL FOR 10,000 GUARD TROOPS FOR JAN 6: In some of his first public remarks since losing the November election, former President Donald Trump told Fox News that he warned the Pentagon “days before” that it was not ready for the crowd of Trump backers who would converge on Washington Jan. 6 and recommended calling up 10,000 National Guard troops.

Trump said he told “the top person” at the Pentagon, who at the time was acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller, that the crowd was going to be massive based on the fact that “everybody I’d see” would say, ‘Oh, we’re going to be at the rally. We’re going to be at the rally.’”

“I said, ‘Look, this rally is going to be bigger than anyone thinks.’” Trump told Fox News host Steve Hilton Sunday night. “And I said that I think you should have 10,000 — I think I gave the number — I definitely gave the number of 10,000 National Guardsmen, and I think you should have 10,000 of the National Guard ready.”

That matches what Miller told reporter and former CIA lawyer Adam Ciralsky, who wrote a fly-on-the-wall account of Miller’s final week at the Pentagon for Vanity Fair. “‘You’re going to need 10,000 people.’ No, I’m not talking bullshit, he said that,” Miller told Ciralsky of his conversation with Trump. “‘You’re going to need 10,000.’ That’s what he said. Swear to God.”

From The Daily Wire

White House officials approached the Department of Defense days before the Jan. 6 riot with a warning that rally crowds in Washington, D.C., may be larger than expected, according to Trump. The warning was later passed on to congressional leaders along with an offer to provide National Guard troops to support police in the area, but Trump said that congressional leaders passed on the offer.

“I definitely gave the number of 10,000 National Guardsmen, and [said] I think you should have 10,000 of the National Guard ready. They took that number. From what I understand, they gave it to the people at the Capitol, which is controlled by Pelosi. And I heard they rejected it because they didn’t think it would look good,” Trump told Hilton. “So, you know, that was a big mistake.”

Pelosi’s office denied Trump’s claim. Her spokesman, Drew Hammill, told The Washington Post that Trump’s assertion was “completely made up.” The Post also reported that a Pentagon search of their request records turned up no such official request for 10,000 National Guard troops to be stationed at the Capitol.

And to make matters even worse for Pelosi, Trump’s claims have also been corroborated by Mark Meadows.

From WJR

Former President Donald Trump offered to deploy “as many as 10,000 National Guard troops,” ahead of Jan. 6 to support law enforcement, according to his one-time White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Meadows, during an interview on Fox’s “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo,” said that in January and “throughout the summer … the president was very vocal in making sure that we had plenty of National Guard, plenty of additional support because he supports our rule of law and supports our law enforcement and offered additional help.”

He added, “Even in January, that was a given, as many as 10,000 National Guard troops were told to be on the ready by the Secretary of Defense. That was a direct order from President Trump and yet here is what we see, all kinds of blame going around but yet not a whole lot of accountability. That accountability needs to rest with where it ultimately should be and that’s on Capitol Hill.”

Deny it all you want Pelosi, but where there’s a commission it should be easy enough to prove that that request was made…and then the question will be, why didn’t anyone listen?
