Gretchen Whitmer’s “Florida Scandal” Escalates After Local Reporter Makes Explosive New Discovery

While Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was telling the good people of Michigan that they have to stay home and avoid their friends and loved ones, she was frittering off to Florida to visit her “sick father” for 4 days.

Unvaccinated, by the way.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, a local reporter has uncovered an explosive new discovery, and it all centers around the way in which Gretchen got herself from Michigan to Florida.

Whitmer was outed last month for that super-secretive trip to Florida while COVID cases soared in Michigan – it’s also fair to note that her top-aide was also enjoying herself, mask-free, on the Florida beaches as well.

Whitmer’s office went on record and stated that taxpayers did not pay for her trip to go see her father.

Okay, so who did? Gretchen herself?

And that’s where all of this gets really, really dicey and very scandalous.

It turns out that Whitmer asked a group of very wealthy Detroit businessmen to provide a private plane that they all share for her to use for her 4-day trip to Florida.

And to make matters juicier and more scandalous, those businessmen also have major dealings with the state of Michigan.

This is a big political no-no…yes, it happens all the time, but you’re not supposed to get caught and now Gretchen has landed herself in even more hot water.

Deadline Detroit spoke to one of the businessmen under the cover of anonymity. Here’s what he said: “We wondered why she reached out to us instead of booking a private charter,” said one of the plane’s owners, who exchanged his candor for confidentiality. “You can’t tell a governor no. Who needs that kind of trouble?”

The piece goes on to say that had Whitmer booked a round trip flight from Lansing to West Palm Beach through a private charter company, it would likely have cost $10,000 to $20,000, or a whopping $40,000 for the actual jet she took, according to private jet websites. The latter is more than 25 percent of the governor’s salary — before taxes.

It is unclear whether Whitmer reimbursed the company – Air Eagle – which manages the aircraft owned by the businessmen. And, if so, at what price and from which bank account?

The site added an update to the piece that said Whitmer was asked about this column during a Thursday morning event. “I’ve said everything I’m going to say about my trip to check on my father,” she told WWTV reporter Eric Lloyd, he tweets. “I’ve got nothing to add.

“We don’t discuss my travel. I have received an incredible number of death threats over the last year and a half. There are a lot of reasons we don’t discuss how I travel and when I travel.”

“She said she was going to see her sick daddy, but that’s not a legitimate political expenditure,” said Adolph Mongo of Detroit, a political consultant. “What it is, is a political favor. She asked. She got on their plane. Now she owes them one.”

Whitmer’s office did not respond to those questions.

The governor spent four full days in Florida – not two as her handlers insist. And again, according to the piece sshe was not vaccinated.

That’s pretty hypocritical, considering the fact that she’s holding Michigan residents “hostage” by telling them we can’t fully open the state up until 70 percent of us are vaccinated.

And this woman was traveling around in the lap of luxury without a vaccine?

Once again, the elites live by a totally different set of rules than the rest of us do…and that needs to stop.
