OP-ED: Is It Fair For a Border Jumper To Cut In Front Of Millions Of Immigrants Doing It The Right Way?

On Tuesday, Alejandro Mayorkas, Joe Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary declared that the U.S. was on track to encounter more migrants than it had in the last 20 years.

He called the Biden Administration’s approach to this border surge “difficult” – but again fell short of calling it a crisis.

Mayorkas said in a lengthy statement, “The situation at the southwest border is difficult. We are working around the clock to manage it and we will continue to do so. That is our job. We are making progress and we are executing on our plan.  It will take time and we will not waver in our commitment to succeed.”

Our immigration system was already the most humane in the world. Each year the U.S. accepts more than one million migrants legally. More than any country in history. All they had to do was not change anything. Not even three months in and they have already created a crisis. What has any Democrat administration in the last 50 years done to make anything better or easier?

The process for application is straightforward, and we have embassies in almost every country with foreign visa sections.

I have said in the past that our immigration system is not broken to a point because it allows the loophole for those immigrants to stay here illegally, but it is our border security system that is broken.

Illegal immigration causes employers to keep wages low because there is a fresh supply of workers. This hurts Americans who are already at the bottom end of the ladder and people who work in the service industry. It overwhelms our health care systems. And it isn’t health clinics in Beverly Hills, Aspen, Scarsdale, or Chevy Chase. It is health facilities in low-income neighborhoods.

Places where the health care and school systems are already overburdened. It causes an even larger environmental footprint for these cities. For example, California is already short on water and has unreliable electricity. Allowing several million people to migrate there uncontrolled would increase environmental impact in that state plus the other four states it gets water from via agreements. Finally,

Liberals should ask themselves if it is fair for a border-jumper to cut in front of the line of the millions of people who are currently waiting patiently in their home countries for their immigration visas to the U.S. to be approved.

We have existing laws which our government is obligated to enforce but to choose not to. That is the root cause of the problem. It is easier to come to this country illegally and stay than follow the legal immigration process. We must: Revise our legal immigration laws and process. For those that are qualified to immigrate, it shouldn’t take years.

We need to revise our illegal immigration laws and process. Coming to our country illegally should not lead to citizenship; it should lead to deportation. No one entering our country illegally should receive any benefit, just the basics, food, water, shelter, and acute medical care while you are awaiting deportation.

We then need to revise our asylum laws. No one should show up at our border, fleeing their home country for imminent danger unless they are from Mexico or Canada. You should be required to seek asylum in a safe country closest to your home Asylum is not a loophole to immigrate to the US; if you want to come here, get somewhere safe and apply for immigration to the US.

Illegal immigration should be a felony; given the implications to National Security, a misdemeanor doesn’t allow for all federal agencies to communicate with and receive cooperation with state and local agencies.

Finally, all law enforcement agencies should participate in enforcing our laws; states cannot choose not to participate then turn around and enact sanctuary status for those breaking our laws.

Only a Democrat could have done this much damage to America in such a short period of time! I hope people now see how much a blessing Trump was for the interests of the country!

I say this is foolish, but for the Democrats, it’s a gold mine. The payback will be votes, and it’s so sad to get votes like that, just sad. Sad that they have to resort to this kind of stuff to get votes because they can’t run on an agenda of their own that makes sense, and, sadly, they have to write executive orders every five minutes because nobody agrees with their policy. Yeah, because they manipulated the press and lied at every turn; everything that came out of her mouth was a volcano of lies trying to bury Trump.

It’s sad and reckless, and the Democrats should pay. After spying on Trump when he was a candidate, they should’ve been barred from running for office.

We are not helping these people by letting them in with no place to go. Even if they get our money to live, what kind of lives will they have? These women are baby machines and have no clue how expensive it is to live here. There are no enough jobs for people who speak no English and have no skills. This is so cruel…
